<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing a raw solution used for collecting and refining tantalum, niobium and the like, which can remove antimony through a usual alkaline dissolution process, without specially establishing a process for removing antimony. SOLUTION: The method for preparing the raw solution used for collecting and refining tantalum, niobium and the like, comprises adopting a composite raw material such as ferrotantalum, which contains foreign metals such as iron, and antimony as an impurity; roughly dissolving it in an alkaline solution; obtaining an undissolved residue containing the foreign metals in which metal and hydroxide compounds coexist; collecting a regulated undissolved residue which contains foreign metals of the metallic state, through adding mineral acid to the residue, dissolving only the metal compounds, and separating it by filtration; obtaining an eluate and a residue through treating the above residue with a hydrofluoric acid solution in a fluoric acid treatment process, while simultaneously displacement depositing antimony which has been eluted into the extracting fluoric acid, on the foreign metals of the metallic state remaining in the residue after the fluoric acid treatment; and separating the foreign metals as a residue to remove antimony, on which antimony is displacement deposited.</p> |
