PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating mist that can prevent solid matter from sticking to the mist separator, when solid substance is included in the gas fed to the separator. SOLUTION: In this mist separation method, a solid matter-including gas that contains mist and solid matter is fed into a mist separator to separate the mist. In this case, the solid matter-including gas in the mist separator is allowed to satisfy the following relations: W2 > W1, preferably W2 > (1.01 x W1) wherein W1 is the totao amount of saturated moisture per gas unit capacity and W2 is the total amount of saturated moisture per gas unit capacity.
