PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine which prevents an illegal program from persistently residing in the unused areas of a memory means in a microcomputer for controlling games, accomplishes a power failure processing as quickly as possible without the generation of a multiplex interrupt and moreover, prevents an accidental power failure processing possible in the erroneous detection of the power shutdown. SOLUTION: The CPU 41a initializes the unused areas and the unused stack areas a RAM 41c per game. The other interruption is forbidden during the execution of either one of a power-off interrupt processing and the timer interrupt processing and when the timing of the power-off interrupt and that of the timer interrupt are simultaneous, the power-off interrupt processing is made preferential. When a voltage drop signal is inputted during the execution of the timer interrupt processing, after the end of the timer interrupt processing, the power-off interrupt processing is executed. With the inputting of the voltage drop signal into a trigger terminal CLK/TRG, the CPU 41a executes the power-off interrupt processing. In the recovery from the power shutdown, when no voltage drop signal is inputted into a signal input terminal PORT, the processing is returned back to the state before the outbreak of the power shutdown.
