HALOGEN-FREE FLAME-RETARDANT POLYESTER ELASTOMER COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

Disclosed is a halogen-free flame-retardant polyester elastomer composition having excellent water resistance and mechanical properties which contains magnesium hydroxide as a flame retardant and a carbodiimide compound (especially, a polycarbodiimide compound) as a water resistance modifier. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a polyester elastomer composition. A polyester elastomer composition is composed of a polyester elastomer (A1) containing a magnesium hydroxide (B) which is surface-treated with a phosphate ester, and a polyester elastomer (A2) containing a carbodiimide compound (especially, a polycarbodiimide compound) (C). This composition can be obtained by dry blending a molten mixture of the polyester elastomer (A1) which is melt-mixed in advance and a molten mixture of the polyester elastomer (A2) which is also melt-mixed in advance.
