A method for forming a film pattern, and a method for manufacturing an organic EL(ElectroLuminescnece) device, a color filter, and a liquid crystal display device are provided to form a film pattern having a functional material by locating a functional liquid on air and drying the functional liquid. A method for forming a film pattern(F) includes the steps of: forming a liquid receiving unit(PD) on a valid region of air(P) having the film pattern(F), and an invalid region(T1,T2,T3) around the valid region; arranging a functional liquid(L) on the liquid receiving unit(PD) formed on the valid region(TE); arranging the functional liquid(L) or a solvent on the liquid receiving unit(PD) formed on the invalid region(T1,T2,T3); and increasing the amount of solvent arranged on the liquid receiving unit(PD) of the invalid region(T1,T2,T3) as the region becomes far from a central part of the valid region(TE).
