Arrangement for gasification of biomass

A gas generator is provided with a pyrolysis chamber 5 for pyrolysis of biomass and a reduction chamber 7 for gasification of the carbon formed. Arranged centrally in the pyrolysis chamber there is a suction tube 28 with fan element 31 for sucking pyrolytic gas in to the biomass in order to increase the temperature in the biomass such that automatic pyrolysis occurs. Means are also provided for leading pyrolytic gas to a combustion chamber 12 together with air for combustion and generation of energy for gasification of carbon.
