A device and a method for automatically converting a library file of a conventional module into a component are provided to reduce cost/time required for component conversion by performing the component conversion in a binary level state of a library of which sources of the conventional module are not secured. An input part(201) receives a library file of the conventional module to be converted into the component. An analyzer(202) analyzes the received library file. A type information generator(203) generates type information of the component based on analyzed information. A wrapping component generator(204) generates a shape of the component based on the information generated in the type information generator. The wrapping component generator links the shape of the component with the library of the conventional module.
