<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp which is provided with a light-emitting tube which can make a portion corresponding to a root portion of a general lighting bulb as small as possible, and to provide a lighting apparatus equipped with the lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting tube 1 is provided with a bulb 2 on at least a portion of which a spiral-shaped portion 10 is formed and on both ends of the bulb, electrodes 20a, 20b are sealed and a discharging passage is formed inside, and both ends of the bulb face each other at the inner position than a maximum outside diameter D1 of the spiral shaped portion and a minimum dimension a between each of the facing inside surfaces is 5 to 15 mm. The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is provided with a lighting unit 40 to that makes the light-emitting tube light, a covering member 50 which supports the light-emitting tube in itself and in which the lighting unit is arranged, and a mouthpiece 60 supported by the covering member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
