PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cable for indoor installation, including a dual-layer optical fiber buffer encasement made of acrylate resin. SOLUTION: The buffer encasement includes a flexibly transformed acrylate inside layer protecting a fiber to minimize the stress transfer to the fiber and a hard and tough acrylate outer layer providing crush resistance.
