PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recognition apparatus capable of preventing degradation in recognition accuracy such as characters under a state motion blur is generated in a captured image.SOLUTION: The recognition apparatus includes: an estimation section that calculates a movement direction of a recognition object on plural images which are taken at plural different imaging timing and estimates the movement direction in a direction in which a motion blur is generated on the images; a generation section that generates a dictionary image in which a blur of a predetermined size is added to the images in the generation direction; and a recognition section that collates any one of the plural images with the dictionary image generated by the generation section to recognize the recognition object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
