<p>A gear shifting device for a six speed gear box for example, having a shifting lever (S) to select and engage all the gears and fork control rods for engaging gears of a same path comprises an H-like engagement pattern similar to a gear box with four gears, and devices for retaining or returning into predetermined engagement paths a shaft (2, 20) of the gear selection and control lever or a turning shaft (71) and/or the gear shifting lever (S) for example in the third and fourth gear path. The path of the fifth and sixth gear comprises in addition a notch device (1, 6, 7) which upon a complete or almost complete engagement in the highest speed, the sixth, retains in said path the central shaft of the gear control and selection lever (2, 20) or the turning shaft (71) and/or the gear shifting lever (S) and which, upon a full or almost full engagement of the lower speed, the fifth, enables to bring back the central shaft of the gear selection and control lever (2, 20) or the turning shaft (71) and/or the shifting lever (S) into a lower path, for example the path of the third and fourth gears, when the control lever is taken back to the neutral position. Thereby, erroneous manipulations are avoided, for example shifting down from sixth to third gear following the action of the return device into the path of the third and fourth gears.</p> |
