PURPOSE:To enable the chopper action to be promptly further easily maintained to the best condition with no necessity for suspending operation, by enabling the reciprocating timing of a chopper blade for rotation of a chopper fold holding drum to be adjusted while the operation of a folding machine is continued. CONSTITUTION:If a handle 29 is turned, a lever 33 is driven as shown by a reciprocating arrow head S by feeding a nut member 31 by a thread. In accordance with the above, a helical gear 16' slides on a spline shaft as shown by a reciprocating arrow head S'. Here gears 15', 16' are formed in helical gears, and if one helical gear 16' of both the gears moves in the direction of the axial center, a position of both the helical gears 15', 16' changes. In this way, a position for a holding drum gear 14 with a driving short shaft 17', driving a chopper device, changes. Accordingly, the reciprocating timing of a chopper blade 10 for rotation of a holding drum is adjusted. Consequently, adjustment of high degree can be promptly and easily performed with no necessity for particular skill. |
