PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper holder allowing the use of even a roll of paper having a cylindrical core at a center, and having no core material requiring the insertion of a shaft member instead. SOLUTION: Carriers 7a and 7b are arranged in the through-hole X of inner plates 5a and 5b for constituting a pair of roll holding members 3a and 3b facing a mounting member 2, so as to be capable of freely coming out by the operation of springs 13a and 13b, and the core material A1 of rolled paper is held with the projecting periphery of the carriers 7a and 7b. On the other hand, rolled paper having no core material A1 requiring the insertion of a shaft member 15 is formed so that the shaft member 15 is held between vertical grooves formed on the front edges of the carriers 7a and 7b.
