PURPOSE: An apparatus for canceling a tape cassette lead locking of a tray manner magnetic recording player is provided to securely cancel the lead locking state of a standard tape cassette mounted in a cassette tray, and to cancel the lead of a tape cassette. Therefore, the operation reliability is secured. CONSTITUTION: Lock canceling flaps(80,90) are connected with both rear sides of a cassette holder(50), to linear-move to front/back directions. The lock canceling flaps(80,90) form lock cancel projections(81,91) connected with lead lock units formed in a standard tape cassette lower surface, in an upper surface. Tension coil springs connected with the lock flaps(80,90) elastically support the lock canceling flaps(80,90) to make the lock canceling flaps(80,90) receive strengths toward the rear sides. Stopper brackets(110) are fixed at both rear sides of a main chassis upper surface. The stopper brackets(110) make the lock canceling flaps(80,90) win elasticity of the tension coil springs, and make the lock canceling flaps(80,90) move forward. The stopper brackets(110) make the lock cancel projections(81,91) operate the lead lock units.
