PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect which of two amplifiers is faulty on the occurrence of the fault in either of the two amplifiers in an amplifier system, where the two amplifiers are connected in parallel by using a Wilkinson distributor and a Wilkinson combiner. SOLUTION: Two amplifiers 1 receive pilot signals modulated by a modulation signal with a phase difference of 90 degrees with respect to each other, the signals are amplified, a distributor 2 and a filter 8 connected to an output of a Wilkinson combiner 3 extract the amplified signal, a vector adjustment device 14 adjusts the phase of the signal to 45 degrees, an orthogonal demodulator 15 demodulates the output of the adjustment device 14 to separate the signal into I, Q orthogonal components, the correlation is detected by using a pilot signal with the same frequency and the same phase as the demodulated signal, so as to detect a signal level of the I and Q components. Thus, it is detected whether either of the two amplifiers or both of them are faulty.
