NO-NEEDLE JET INJECTION SYSTEM HAVING SEPARATE MEDICAL LIQUID RESERVOIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supplying a medical liquid for injection of a jet injector. SOLUTION: This device includes a cassette 12 for connecting an injector system 10 to a reservoir 16. The cassette forms a fluid passage 32 in an interface between a cassette lower body 30 and a cassette upper body 28. The cassette forms an impact chamber 42 having a self-sustaining nozzle 44. The fluid passage connects the reservoir 16 and the impact chamber to each other. The medical liquid flows from the reservoir 16 along the fluid passage into the impact chamber. The force from an impact generator 54 lets the medical liquid out of the impact chamber and jets through the nozzle from an orifice 18 at the tip of the nozzle into the skin of a patient. In order to prevent the pressure wave generated by the jet injector from breaking a glass cartridge in the reservoir 16, a series of right angles or valves are used to block up the fluid passage.
