PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container holder with a simple structure and less numbers of parts in which drink in the container does not fall even if a vehicle is inclined. SOLUTION: In the container retaining member 4 capable of retaining the container such as a cup 3a, a plurality of projections 4b are formed on an upper outer side surface. Further, a pivot guide part 2f forming an insertion hole 5 is provided on an intermediate step upper part 2a of a base material 2A of a console box 2 as a fixing member. The projections are abutted on a recessedly curved inner surface of the pivot guide part 2f and the container retaining member 4 is retained by the pivot guide part 2f. The projections 4b slides on the inner surface of a slide guide part 2f in response to the inclination of the vehicle and the container retaining member 4 can be vertically retained by the intermediate step upper part 2a. A fitting part 2g is provided while it is continuously contacted with the pivot guide part 2f. The projections 4b are fitted to the fitting part 2g and the cup 3a and the container retaining member 4 can be inclined similarly to the vehicle in response to the inclination of the vehicle.
