PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printing from being started in the midst of developing unit attaching and detaching operation in an image forming device performing printing even when all the developing units are not attached. SOLUTION: A developing unit K corresponding to monochrome printing toner color (black) out of four developing units Y, C, M and K is attached (step S14) after other developing units are attached (steps S11, S12 and S13) at the time of performing set-up operation that the developing units are attached in order. Meanwhile, at the time of performing detaching operation, the developing unit K is detached first in reverse order to the above. Since the device is constituted so that printing is not performed in a monochrome printing mode and a color printing mode if the developing unit K is not attached, printing action is not started in the midst of the set-up operation and the detaching operation. |
