<p>PURPOSE: A device for controlling brightness of a brake lamp for a vehicle is provided to reduce glare by lowering the brightness of the brake lamp in a low speed traveling state. CONSTITUTION: A speed sensor(110) senses the speed of a vehicle. A power supply unit(120) applies the power to an brake LED(140). A PWM control unit(130) controls an amount of currents applied t the brake LED according to the speed of the vehicle. The power applied from the power supply unit to the brake LED is modulated through the PWM control unit. The PWM control unit modulates the current of the power supply unit with the PWM method. The speed sensor outputs the speed sensing signal to the PWM control unit. The PWM control unit controls the brightness of the brake LED by controlling the amount of driving currents according to the speed sensing signal.</p> |
