The system has a position determination unit (2) that determines position of target point (20) in coordinate system. A measuring rod (11) is comprised with an attachable target (12) in upper end and contacted with the target point in lower end (13). The positional relationship between the attachable target and target point is determined and tracking direction for the target point is calculated by the determination unit. The target point is imaged by a camera (5) based on the positional relationship and tracking direction and image data is processed to obtain position of target point.
