PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and an image processing method capable of developing a three-dimensional image of high quality with a less amount of data than before, by comparatively simple processing. SOLUTION: The volume data of a collective coordinate are divided along a surface defined according to a designated visual axial direction, thereby generating slice data generating a plurality of slice data. According to the plurality of slice data, geometric information for converting the respective slice data to a display coordinate is computed, and according to the geometric information, a plurality of slice data are converted to develop a plurality of display image data of the display coordinate. The respective display image data are geometrically converted to develop the three-dimensional display image where the respective pixel values on the data have cumulatively added cumulative intensity. |
