PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for charging a plurality of reduced iron raw materials into a moving bed reduction-melting furnace and treating the raw materials, in which good heat input can be provided to the reduced iron raw materials on a bed mat and the efficiency of the treatment can be improved.SOLUTION: Reduced iron raw materials 2 are released downward from the lower surface 24a of a ceiling 24 of a reduction-melting furnace 10 so as to be set on a bed mat 18 on a furnace bed 16 and are reduced on the bed mat 18. The reduced iron materials 2, when falling, are given a horizontal velocity which is in the same direction as the moving direction of the furnace bed 16 and greater than the moving speed of the furnace bed 16, which enables the reduced iron raw materials 2 to turn in the same direction as the moving direction of the furnace bed 16 after landing on the bed mat 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
