PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass paste packaging body and its packaging method, wherein the housing amount is larger than a conventional one, the carrying-in workability into a cleaning room is excellent, and the generation of wastes can be suppressed. SOLUTION: This glass paste packaging body 10 is equipped with a drum can 11 made of stainless steel, a glass paste 13, a lid 14 made of stainless steel, and a fixing utensil 16. In this case, the glass paste 13 is housed in the drum can 11 through a plastic film bag 22, and for which, a glass powder is dispersed in a solvent containing a resin. The lid 14 is fitted on the opening 11a of the drum can 11. The fixing utensil 16 fixes the lid 14 onto the drum can 11. For this packaging method for the glass paste, the glass paste 13 is housed in the drum can 11 through the plastic film bag 22. Then, the lid 14 made of stainless steel, of which the inside is covered with a plastic film 15 is fitted on the opening 11a of the drum can 11.
