PURPOSE:To flame-spray a mixture of a powdery ceramic material and a powdery plastic material by supplying the ceramic material from the vicinity of the base of the sprayed flame from a spraying torch, supplying the powdery plastic material from the vicinity of the tip and simultaneously spraying both materials. CONSTITUTION:The high-melting-point powdery ceramic material is supplied into the high-temp. part close to the base of the sprayed flame 3 from the spraying torch 1 from a ceramics supply port 4. The low-melting-point and easy-to-decompose powdery plastic material is supplied from a relatively low- temp. tip of the flame 3 through a plastic supply port 5. Both materials are simultaneously sprayed on a metallic substrate 2 in this way. In this case, the mixing ratio of the ceramic material is preferably controlled to 40vol.%. A thermoplastic resin having high affinity for the ceramics and having Si, Ti, etc., in its side chain is appropriately used as the plastic material. By this method, a combined sprayed layer 6 consisting of the mixture of both material is formed on the surface of the metallic substrate 2. |
