PURPOSE:To provide a supporting device for a photosensitive drum capable of being easily assembled by inserting an axial member without touching a drum by hand by a method wherein when the photosensitive drum is abutted and mounted on a resilient member, an insertion hole of the photosensitive drum and a supporting hole are coincided to each other or the insertion hole is positioned higher than the supporting hole. CONSTITUTION:Each of bottom portions of each of side plates 10A and 10B is formed with arcular supporting portions 10C and 10D. A resilient member 14 receiving weight of the photosensitive drum 1 is fixed to an inner circumferential surface of each of the supporting parts 10C and 10D by adhesion or the like. As member for supporting the photosensitive drum 1 to each of the side plates 10A, 10B, axial members 12 having tapered portions 12A and 12B at both ends are used and a fixing member 13 which can be deformed resiliently, is press fitted to its neck part 12C and engaged with it. The axial member 12 is inserted from outside of a rear side plate 10B with the tapered part 12A being an extremity end and the photosensitive drum 1 is freely supported by the axial member 12 in such a degree as its position is slightly corrected by the tapered part 12A. With such an arrangement, the photosensitive drum may not be contaminated or dropped and it can be assembled to be rotatable. |
