PURPOSE:To form a cold cathode tube that has heating function at a low cost by forming a finely lined resistance film that has heating function directly on the surface of a glass tube that forms the cold cathode tube. CONSTITUTION:A heater 1 comprising finely lined resistance film, is directly formed on the surface of a glass tube 2 that forms a cold cathode tube. In this structure, since the resistance film is directly formed on the surface of the glass tube 2 by printing or by transcription, heating loss is not generated, while a thermal compression tube and the like used for fixing a heater is no more necessary, and a cold cathode tube that has heating function can thus be formed at low cost. |
