<p>PURPOSE: To detect unknown metal proximate to a conduit buried in the ground by measuring space leakage magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION: A pair of magnetic poles 2a, 2b are placed in contact with an inner wall of a conduit 1 at constant intervals over an entire circumference of the inner wall. A probe 3 of a gauss meter is also placed between the pair of magnetic poles 2a, 2b. Space leakage magnetic flux is sensed by this probe 3 thereby detecting unknown metal proximate to the conduit 1. Thus prior to construction for burying the conduit, buried metal can be easily removed from the ground.</p> |
