The system uses a radiation detector (1) with output connected to a fast current amplifier (2) the output signal of which continually follows the current of the charge carrier formed in the detector using a known method. The output signal is transformed in a converter (3) into the frequency of an electrical value so that the frequency can be traced back to the primary charge carrier using a known method. The waveform of the frequency is measured with an electronic circuit (4) which is resolved in a computer (5) according to fundamental frequencies (Fourier analysis), or groups of frequencies associated with individual incidents of specific energy (standard set). The numerical sizes of these resolutions form the basis for determining the energy of the individual incidents. Their distribution with time is related to the incidence density.
