The method involves piercing a hole opening into the panel (3) to receive a dowel (4) of slightly smaller diameter. A wood screw (7) is placed into the dowel in abutment with a prop (2) fixed to the partition. The dowel is shaped to expand as the screw is driven home to lock the joint.
