PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the rigidity of the whole cover of a threshing chamber by strongly supporting a gear case for driving a waste straw-conveying chain. SOLUTION: The waste straw-conveying device in a thresher has a waste straw-conveying part 22 comprising the waste straw-conveying chain 34 for delivering and conveying grain culms subjected to a threshing treatment in the threshing chamber 27 to the rear part of a machine body, a gear case 38 arranged at the conveying start terminal side of the waste straw-conveying chain 34 and transmitting power to the waste straw-conveying chain 34, and a belt 40 arranged between a rear side plate 21b of the threshing chamber 27 and the gear case 38, and transmitting the power to the gear case 38, and is constituted so that a pipe member 42 fixed to the cover 21 of the threshing chamber 27 may be extended from the start terminal side of the threshing chamber 27 through the upper part of the belt 40 to the rear part so that the gear case 38 may be supported by the end terminal part.
