A device for opening and shutting a glove box is provided to allow a user to open and shut the glob box easily by moving a rod which is inserted in an instrument panel to one side with compressed air pressure generated by pressing an operating part and separating the rod from the instrument panel for releasing a fixed state of the globe box. A device(400) for opening and shutting a glove box(20) comprises a rod(100), a driving unit(200), and an operating part(300). The rod is horizontal to the glove box which is opened and closed to an instrument panel(10), one end of the rod being inserted in the instrument panel to fix the globe box on the instrument panel. The driving unit moves the rod to one side horizontally using compressed air pressure and separates the rod from the instrument panel to release a fixed state of the globe box. The operating part operates the driving unit to generate compressed air from the driving unit. The rod is mounted in the globe box. The driving unit includes first and second driving parts(210,220), and a connecting unit(230). The first driving part generates and discharges the compressed air. The second driving part moves the rod inserted in the instrument panel in one direction horizontally. The connecting unit is installed between the first and second driving parts. The first driving part includes a first cylinder(211) and a first piston(212). The second driving part includes a second cylinder(221) and a second piston(222).
