The invention relates to an insulating box (7) for manufacturing a sealed and thermally insulated tank wall, the insulating box comprising: a first rigid panel (16) comprising side edges, a second rigid panel (15), spacer parts (65, 66, 67) which are attached to the first rigid panel and to the second rigid panel and which extend in a height direction in order to keep the first rigid panel spaced apart from the second rigid panel, and a thermally insulating packing (26) arranged between the first rigid panel and the second rigid panel, the thermally-insulating packing forming a solid unit enveloping the spacer parts over at least a portion of the height thereof, characterized in that a flow space (28), which is capable of enabling a fluid to flow through the insulating box from one side edge of the box to an opposite side edge of the box, is defined between the second panel (15) and the thermally insulating packing (26). |
