The present invention relates to a regenerative brake apparatus of a hybrid vehicle and a method thereof capable of improving a fuel mileage of the hybrid vehicle by regenerating a braking force generated when the hybrid vehicle decelerates. A regenerative brake apparatus of a hybrid vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an engine to burn fuel to provide a driving force to a front wheel; a starting generator to start the engine and generate electric energy by being operated as a power generator when braking; a motor to backup a driving force of the engine, provide a driving force to a rear wheel and generate electric energy by being operated as a power generator when braking; and a control unit to calculate a front-wheel braking force and a rear wheel braking force from a braking force generating when braking in accordance with a running status and a brake signal of a vehicle and regenerative brake the starting generator and the driving motor using a braking force generated in accordance with the front-wheel braking force and the rear-wheel braking force. |
