PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition for sliding material, giving a molded article having low frictional coefficient and excellent abrasion resistance without lowering the heat-resistance and mechanical characteristics of base resin, by adding metallic lead (or oxide) and a fluororesin to an aromatic polyimide resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of an aromatic polyimide resin powder preferably derived mainly from biphenyltetracarboxylic acid and 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether and having an average particle diameter of <=40mum, preferably <=30mum, (B) preferably 1-30pts. of powder of metallic lead, lead oxide or their mixture having an average particle diameter of <=20mum, preferably <=10mum and (C) preferably 5-50pts. of a fluororesin, preferably a tetrafluoroethylene polymer containing >=75wt% tetrafluoroethylene, especially a tetrafluoroethylene homopolymer and having an average particle diameter of <=20mum, preferably <=10mum. |
