Industrial dishwashing machine

The dishwashing machine has a transport device for feeding the dishes (1,2,3) through a number of successive cleaning zones (6-9), with the length of the employed spray system (12,17,21,22) within at least one cleaning zone varied in dependence on the type of dishes fed through it. The length of the spray system is varied by selective switching in of individual spray devices, or by switching between alternate spray systems of different overall length.
