The endless screw (2) of the worm gear is driven from the interior of the room via a drive shaft (3). The worm wheel (1) is kinematically joined to the window-casement or door leaf (5). The drive shaft is driven manually by means of a belt or band from the room side. The drive shaft is kinematically connected to a drive wheel (8) around part of which lies the band or belt. The traction force exerted manually is transferred as torque via the drive wheel to the drive shaft. A pre-tensioned pressure roller is directly above and below the drive wheel.
