PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an optical fiber without imparting an excessive load to it. SOLUTION: The optical fiber adaptor 1 is constituted of a guide part 3 and a pair of viscoelastic members 4 held on an adaptor body 2. The guide part 3 is provided with an insert hole 3c for inserting an optical fiber F, with the tip end 3a engaged with a connector C. One viscoelastic member 4A is provided with an upper face 4Aa for placing the optical fiber F inserted into the guide part 3, and is fixed on the adaptor body 2. The other viscoelastic member 4B is provided with a bottom face 4Ba oppositely facing the upper face 4Aa of the one viscoelastic member 4A, and is fixed on the arm 8 rotatably pivotally attached to the adaptor body 2. The optical fiber F is adhesively fixed by being held, in a state inserted into the insert hole 3c of the guide part 3, between the viscoelastic members 4A, 4B that come into contact with each other by the rotation of the arm 8.
