PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an absorptivity measuring instrument capable of measuring the absorptivity of an optical member with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In the absorptivity measuring instrument for measuring the absorptivity of a sample with respect to the light from a light source means by measuring the temperature change generated in a sample holder for holding the sample when the sample is irradiated with the light from the light source means and the irradiation of the sample with the light is stopped, a reference heater is provided wherein an electric heater of which the electric resistance is known is added to a substrate comprising the same material as the sample and having the same shape as the sample, and a computer is provided for calculating the constant related to the temperature change of the measuring instrument from the quantity of heat applied to the reference heater and using the constant to calculate the absorptivity of the sample.
