PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein useful for screening an agonist or an antagonist. SOLUTION: Disclosed are a protein derived from rats and mouse or a salt thereof, a DNA encoding the protein, a method for determining a ligand for the protein, a method for screening a compound capable of varying a binding property between the ligand and the protein and a screening kit, and a compound or a salt thereof obtained through the screening. The protein or the DNA encoding the protein described in the invention is used for (1) determining the ligand for the protein described in the invention, (2) a preventing agent and/or a therapeutic agent for a disease relating to dysfunction of the protein described in the invention, and (3) screening the compound (agonist, antagonist or the like) capable of varying the binding property between the ligand and the protein described in the invention. |
