<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical variable marking, especially for application to decoration and security, which doesn't have defects of the device by conventional technology, which is easy to manufacture, and which can be applied to substrates over a large range. <P>SOLUTION: The optical variable marking, an adjustment method therefor, and a usage therefor to be applied for decoration or security are provided. The optical variable marking includes a semitransparent substrate which has a first surface which is either a liquid crystal polymer layer or which is covered by an optical variable layer which includes a pearl gross pigment, and a second surface which is partially covered by a metal layer which has a prescribed pattern shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
