The present invention relates to a low cost and high performance crack repair composition for asphalt pavement using residues produced through a solvent deasphalting process (SDA) or solvent extracting process; and to a manufacturing method thereof. The crack repair composition for asphalt pavement comprises: 40-70 wt% of residues of an SDA process; 10-30 wt% of a styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer; 0.5-10 wt% of a tackifier; greater than 0 wt% and less than or equal to 20 wt% of rubber powder; and 5-30 wt% of a softner.
