<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating nitrogen in a nitrogen compound to efficiently treat a nitrogen compound. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for treating nitrogen, a nitrogen compound in the objective water is treated by electrolysis and the following steps for the treatment are carried out. The steps are a first treatment step of producing ammonia from the nitrogen compound in the objective water by the electrolysis using a cathode 12 and an anode 13 while the space between the cathode 12 and the anode 13 is divided by a cation exchange membrane 15 into a cathode reaction region 12A and an anode reaction region 13A, and a second treatment step of removing ammonia in the objective water treated in the cathode reaction region 12A in the first treatment step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
