PURPOSE:To bring contact a contact surface into contact with a medium closely and to improve a recording and reproducing efficiency by providing a pressing means on one of sliders holding a head core therebetween and pressing the contact surface to the recording medium according to an air flow. CONSTITUTION:On the slider 2 of the sliders 2, 4 holding the head core 1 for a floppy disk therebetween, a through hole is disposed from a front surface 2c to an opposite surface 2e as the pressing means 7 for pressing the contact surface 2a to the recording medium according to the air flow produced by the movement of the recording medium. Accordingly, a part of the air flow generated at the time of recording and reproducing enters the through hole and then, is discharged from the opposite surface 2e. At this time, the contact surface 2a is brought into contact with the recording medium closely, to improve the recording and reproducing efficiency, because a force for pressing the slider 2 to the direction of the recording medium is produced.
