The domestic rubbish handling system may deal with a number of different waste materials including waste food, glass, paper, lightweight packaging materials excrement or small amounts of other harmful materials. The rubbish may be collected in containers and may be picked up by a first vehicle which takes the containers to a collection point. The vehicle may have special fittings for picking up the containers. The containers may be picked up from the collection point by a second vehicle with special fittings and may be transported to the rubbish dump or processing plant.
