PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the negative image recording material capable of directly forming a printing plate from digital data, and high in sensitivity and superior in adhesion of an imaging part to a support body and printing resistance by forming an interlayer containing an organic compound having a specified functional group on the support body treated by hydrophilization. SOLUTION: This negative image recording material is formed by laminating, on a support made of aluminum roughened and anodized on the surface, a hydrophilic layer containing an organic compound having an amino group and one of a phosphonic and phosphonic and phosphoric acid groups or its salt, and an infrared-sensitive negative image forming layer in this order. This amino group has an optionally substituted 1-5C structure of formula I in which each of R<1> and R<2> is, independently, an H atom or an alkyl group. Each of phosphonic and phosphinic and phosphoric acid groups are represented by formulae II-IV in which each of R<3> -R<5> is an H atom or a 1-5C alkyl group. |
