PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current output type DA converter of a small circuit area capable of supplying an output current capable of obtaining the voltage of 1 Vpp even at the time of driving a termination resistor smaller than 100Ω. SOLUTION: This current output type DA converter is constituted of a DA conversion part provided with a current cell array 100 composed of unit reference current cells and a multiplication circuit for multiplying the output of the DA conversion part. The output of the DA conversion part is set so as to be the output current of 1/n of a required DA converter output current I0 and the multiplication circuit is set to be an (n)-fold. Thus, a device size is reduced by turning the unit reference current cells 101 to 1/n of a conventional case, the need of thickening power source and ground lines to the part is eliminated and an occupancy area is reduced. Since the device size is reduced, the suppression of noise and the acceleration of an operation speed by the reduction of parasitic capacitance are made possible.
