The coefficients of primary compression tree structure of received measurement data are computed and the layers of primary tree structure are determined recursively. The coefficients of secondary compression tree structure are computed from the primary structure. Coefficient of secondary tree are sorted based on preset conditions and the coefficients that are required to reconstruct the received sequence are stored in a archive (18). An Independent claim is also included for data compression device.
