<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing generator which is capable of operating at a high speed. SOLUTION: A timing generator is equipped with a first variable delay circuit in which rectangular-waveform signals are inputted, a second variable delay circuit cascade-connected to the first variable delay circuit, and a second delay control which controls the amount of delay in the second variable delay circuit. The second delay control is equipped with a first holding circuit, which is given second delay setting data which control the amount of delay in the second variable delay circuit, holds the second delay setting data until first timing, based on the change point of the rectangular wave signals, and then outputs them; and a second holding circuit which receives the second delay setting data outputted from the first holding circuit, holds them until second timing, on the basis of the change point of the rectangular wave signal or the first delay signals, and controls the amount of delay in the second variable delay circuit.</p> |
