PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily coupling resin optical fibers together giving a low coupling loss. SOLUTION: The resin optical fibers are easily joined by the method for coupling in which a lower holding member furnished with a V-shaped groove having an inclined part for introducing the resin optical fibers and a lid are sandwiched with a clip in a state that the gap is slightly narrower than the diameter of the resin optical fibers, and the resin optical fibers are pushed therein from both sides.
