PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit a period for reproducing the information recorded on a recording medium. SOLUTION: A disk player receives a limit information including a period information to permit reproduction of the information recorded on a DVD and stores the received limit information by making it relate with an disk identification information for identifying the DVD. The disk identification information is acquired (S01) from the DVD, and time information including a current time is acquired (S03), then on the basis of the acquired time information and the limit information relating to the acquired disk identification information, a decision is made (S05) whether the information recorded on the DVD is reproduced or not.
